The roots of the Philippine Nurses Association of Southern California (PNASC) as a professional organization run deep and wide. As a matter of fact, PNASC as one of the five pioneering Philippine Nurses Associations in the US, forged alliance with the other four - Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Illinois, to give birth to our national organization, the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA)! And that baby is now almost 31 yrs old.

To lead an established organization, like PNASC, is indeed, a challenging chore. Our past leaders, it seems, “had thought and done it all." Each had contributed to how more pliant, stronger and taller we have become. The environment of excellence that PNASC has created and nurtured is evidenced through our members occupying various PNAA leadership positions, receiving honors of distinction as international speakers and garnering numerous coveted excellence awards.

Our Team is fired up to continue the passion in adding more mileage to PNASC's long history of excellence through masterful coaching/mentoring and stronger membership base anchored in a collaborative and nurturing environment. We will expand our outreach program to include our motherland, because we believe, that, "ang hindi lumilingon sa pinanggalingan, ay hindi makakarating sa paroroonan"(one who does not look back to his/her origin, will not get anywhere). And our Team's goal is to elevate PNASC to greater heights in a fun and rewarding way!

Ultimately, we would like to be remembered as those good and faithful servants: "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ ” (Matt. 25:21).
